Privacy Policy

The short version

MamoDex is free and stays free. We do not run ads, we do not sell or share your data, and we do not use tracking or analytics cookies. We store the minimum needed to run your account and your collection.

What we collect

• Your email address, used only to identify your account.
• A hashed version of your password. We never store or see the password itself.
• Your collection data: which cards you track, quantities, variants, conditions, and any notes you add.
• A daily snapshot of your collection's total value, so your dashboard can show history.
• What you paid for a card, if you choose to enter it. This is optional and only you can see it.
• Your lists, including their names and the cards in them.
• Your sealed product inventory, if you track sealed items.
• A record of each photo scan: when it ran and how many card slots were in the photo. The photo itself is not kept.

Photo scanning

When you scan a binder page, the photo is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to identify the cards in it. Anthropic processes the image to return the result and does not use API content to train its models. We do not store the photo on our servers: once the scan returns, the image is gone. What we keep is the scan record described above and whatever cards you confirm into your collection.

Feedback and bug reports

If you use the in-app feedback button, your message, the page you were on, and your account email are sent to a private Telegram chat so we can follow up with you. Send it only if you are comfortable with us seeing that.

Share links

When you share a list, we create a secret link. Anyone who has that link can view the list without logging in: the link itself is the key. It is unguessable, but it is not private once you send it to someone, so treat it like a password. Revoking the link in your list settings makes it stop working immediately.

Cookies

One cookie: a session token that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics. Browsing without an account sets no cookies at all. A few display preferences (your binder layout, whether you have seen the feedback button) are kept in your browser's own storage and never reach our servers. Full detail in the Cookie Policy.

Where your data lives

The app runs on Vercel and data is stored in a Neon Postgres database. Card data and market prices come from open Pokemon TCG data sources and describe cards, not you.

Deleting your data

Go to Account and delete your account there. It happens immediately and cannot be undone. Everything goes: your login, your card collection, your sealed product inventory, your purchase prices, your value history, your lists, any share links you created, and your scan history.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will never quietly start collecting more than what is listed here.
